Yes it can still be used now, and example of a country using it is Israel, in the Six day war. Many call it Super Blitzkreig beacuse they wiped out the Egyptian Airforce in 3 hours. They used Guderian's tatics of advoiding hard choke points and knowing the terrain of the enemy and study it intenstively before moving in. many said in that war is Israeli knew the Sinai Desert better than the Egyptians themselves!
